malibu
It was a Christmas Day when I visit Malibu in December 2016 with two of my best friends Derek, Nicole and Nicole's family. We made a quick stop before heading to our brunch spot.

It was Christmas day so most restaurants were closed and we just chose a random one on Yelp with the highest rating and we did not regret our choice
We sat down at Geoffrey's Malibu. It was a set menu to choose from and we shared the entrees and the desserts because we all wanted that scallop butternut squash risotto. It was to die for. I normally don't like risottos, something with the way restaurants cook it always makes it very heavy and hard to digest. But this stole my heart. It was light, risotto was fluffy and the scallop was light seared and tasted fresh.
