Malibu
It was a Christmas Day when I visited Malibu during December 2016 with two of my best friends Derek and Nicole, along with Nicole's family. We made a quick stop before heading to our brunch spot.
It was Christmas day so most restaurants were closed. We chose a random brunch spot on Yelp with the highest rating and was very we made that choice.
We sat down at Geoffrey's Malibu. We were given a set menu to choose from and we decided to shared the entrees and the desserts because we all wanted the scallop butternut squash risotto as appetizer. It was to die for. I normally don't like risottos, something with the way restaurants cook it always makes it very heavy and hard to digest. But this stole my heart. It was light, risotto was fluffy and the scallops were lightly seared and tasted fresh.
